Sorry if I appear to be taking the moral highground or whatever (gotta say although I'm a lurker your posts are usually pretty sound!), but in my experience people change from when you are in school to out.

Could this guy have grown up and stopped being such an idiot? I always found that the idiots at school changed when they left and generally had become much nicer people as a result.

Your mileage may vary. See if you can approach this guy independantly and see what he's like. It wont take long to discern if he's geniunely an ass.

If he definately is, then all I'd do is have a quiet word with that bird and leave it at that. If anything more was to become of it, for sure she'd go back to you. Apart from that, let people make their own mistakes.

I think I'm gonna have to agree with rc55 here.

Apart from the obvious legal consequences of giving this guy a slap (criminal records really limit your job options) it is definitely worth trying to talk to this guy 1st.

Since I left school I've become really good friends with a couple of guys who 6 years ago I wouldn't have p**sed on if they were on fire.

People mature a vastly different rates and he now could be someone you would get along with (if it wasn't for the whole school thing which I have no doubt was a nasty experience).

If you feel you REALLY need to say something then try talking to him first but under no circumstances threaten him or harm him. It may result in him returning with a few friends or even worse criminal charges which WILL wreck your life.

You seem like a level headed person, buy a spirit level and tape it to your head . That should keep you on the straight and narrow.

Thanks for the advise guys, I manged to not say anything to him today even though i had to follow him most of the way home.

Just ahd to grit my teeth and ignore him.From what i hear and see this guy ain't changed one jot, and he knows the damage he did as words were had with him by several teachers as to how badly it had affected me.


Del lardo, if this guy does come back with friends which he prolly would then i've got the support of quite a few mates on this one as they agree that what he's done is really slack.

This person has also had very negative profound affects one me as well as knox and i know of several others too. While he deserves what he will no doubt eventually get, i still cant seem to shake the feeling that letting him know how much what he did bothered us would be letting him win.
