How abouts a sports/advenurous stuff forum??

the day a sports forum appears on hexus, i shall kill myself.

if we do get one, which we wont, all talk of football must be banned.

I've seen them appear on other forums. What usually happens is all the other subforums in said forum go quiet, and the activity is centred round the sports forums (which should be called football forums).

It would be good to have a forum for talk of things like skiing, etc, like a sports/adventure forum, but football (and rugby) must be banned!

Well that might have something to do with the majority of people liking sports! I like sports and therefore would want a forum to discuss sport in there. Tuns of sport just gets dumped in general discussion. Would be better in its own forum.

i hink it would be hogged by footballers and other threads wouldnt stand a chance.... every time there is a game of football there would be a new thread and an argument inside i would hate to be be the person that looks after that thread... but it would be a good idea for less " popular " sports id just randomly post threads bout bmx

Why not have a sticky for 'All Football Discussion Here!', and then leave the rest of the forum for the real sports? Plus also make it adventures... I do a little mountain climbing (when I'm not at work) and I'd like a nice place to discuss the best approach to a Munro, but I wouldn't call that sport, and there has to be many other members with similar interests. It might also give people ideas of new activities to try!

so thats a no then lol.... i dont think there are many sporting people on here any way *waits for flood of replies saying " i like sport "* i think it would be a waste of hexus space if it wasnt getting used

I suggested this a while back, and thought it might be a good idea to stimulate new postings and attract posters whilst keeping the 'hated' sport out of GD. I remember a good number of football threads that I participated in towards the end of last season in GD. Given the mixture of tastes of regulars I'm sure it wouldn't be completely footy dominated: we had a motorsport section pre-hack.

I know AMD3D has one and its as good as a Football forum ... I rarey go in there!

I've tryed to post about WRC and F1 but there are few people interested, its quite a buisy part of the forums but not really worth it ... why not join a Sports forum instead?
