Oakley shades & transitions lenses question

Any body here have a pair of sun glasses with transitions lenses (lenses that darken and lighten automatically)?

In the market for some new Oakleys, thinking i will probably go for the 'whiskers' frame but not sure what lenses to go for. Are transitions lenses really any co and worth the money? Do they work well?

Also, anyone know a good place to get Oakley glasses at a good price?

EDIT: Just looked on Wikipedia and they are bad for driving, so i think i will give them a miss. Can anyone recommend a good Oakley lens?

I got my Oakleys in Barbados for £85 (they were £140 RRP here when I bought them!) and they're the only pair of sunnies that I've not destroyed.

I'm having the same thoughts too, if anyone finds anywhere with some good prices, let me know!

    Edit: I got these... http://shadestation.co.uk/cPath/-1_1...oduct_info.php
the emerald slate isn't quite dark enough for my liking in very bright sunlight though, just from a user perspective!

I`ve had my oakley Juliets for about 4 years now and they have been brilliant for me.

Got the lenses replaced last year because of a scratch on the lenses.

I bought mine from a shop in liverpool for 230 quid.

A couple of years ago I saw a sunglass test done by an optician overlord type place and the oakley juliets came out on top for UV protection and all the other evil rays that can damage your eyes

How much was it to replace the lenses if you don't mind me asking, I've got a chip in mine and want to replace them.

It can range from about 40 qwuid up to nearly 80 depending on the lenses you go for.

Mine cost 60 I think for green lenses which look cool

    Suppose that's not too bad.
Who do you contact for that then?
