Let Me Get ONE Thing Straight?

This is a discussion board.. where people indulge in debates and the like....

Now I read a thread of mine where "some" people didnt like things I said... probably cos they dont like people speaking the truth etc

I wrote a thread in the cars board about an excessive speed incident...I could've chose NOT to post this... but I thought, no I'll post it and see what reactions I get...

Well... abuse? ... abuse??? ... I've never seen as much abuse hurled at one person on a discussion board in along time. Now I dont just visit this discussion board, I'm active on about 5... and I wrote that speeding thread on each forum (copy & paste) and this is the only forum where people got in such a tizz about it and ranted on and on... why? were u involved? no... so a simple.. "Bit stupid dont ya think?" would've sufficed not comments like "its people like u that make my wife work over every xmas" and the great comments like "what about next time when u might kill someone" ... FFS.

Why do some people take things soooooo badly and the wrong way?? maybe cos your thinking... if that was ME id have got a fine... young lads shouldnt drive 170bhp cars?? maybe its summet else.. I dont know... and to be honest I dont particularly care.

Now I was told to "lay low" .... why?

Im not the person who goes around every damn thread saying

"OMG IM SOOO GORGEOUS EVEN MIRRORS ARE ATTRACTED TO ME" or words to that effect.

Im also not the person who recommends ripping the interior outta a car to make it a touch faster.... and how it makes the resale value increase I must say!

.. Im also not the person who MIS-ADVISES PEOPLE ON COMPUTER PARTS TO BUY... and no IM NOT SAYING NAMES ... a competant mod should already know... Since I have been a moderator on 3 forums in the past Im pretty good at the task thats how I spotted this person.

Now there are a few decent people on this forum... I know exactly who they are.... and I must say I admire them by how they walk away from insults etc.

So for those who were part of the "every single damn thing u say gets on my ****" all I can say is .... its a forum, u dont HAVE to read what I say...but dont expect me to tell people about inside stuff like the GTI ---- R evolution and the engines that could be used in the Polo and next gen Lupo etc... I dont HAVE to post them... but I do cos its nice to share things... good and bad.

And all those folk who seem to think a skoda is better cos its cheaper and same quality than a VW... in 3 years time... u can sell yours for a resale value of 33% and ill sell my VW for 45%+...

Now you know what the reactions are.

It's people like you who drive fast to "look cool and get away from the cops" (and then come onto forums and brag about it...) who can cause major accidents and even result in fatalities. Maybe you should have thought before posting, that's what everyone was trying to get at.

If your not happy why not discuss it with a moderator. You KNEW full well the sort of reactions you would get yet you STILL posted and continue to wind up everyone up with this thread which has very little to do with your original post.

Why not use brain, discuss with a moderator and let the topic die or you'll find yourself being disliked liked by alot of board members. I for one don't want to see this happen on this forum which I've come to like.

The way I see it... driving a little fast is illegal.. but so it CANNABIS.. and yet people seem to be blissfully unaware of this and continue to chat about it...

You expected to post and not get peoples real opinions? if that what people think thats what they'll post i know as i always post what i think including in that thread, if you'd done 60 in a 40, or maybe if you were having a little traffic light gran prix i myself wouldn't have been as harsh but doin 80 in a 40 running from a police car is just stupid don't expect me to go easy and say otherwise just because people on other forums have.

You speak at the start of your thread and then continue to go on and abuse 2 guys i consider to be top blokes in their own right and then refuse to name a third.

I forsee this thread being locked as your being abusive, not because some just read what you wanna hear, your insulting other members tbh.

You hypocritical so and so, you've just criticised everyone else for speaking they're minds in your thread, and now you say that everyone should be aloud to say what they think about everyone else and expect no consequences :/

Banning is indeed the easy way out, but you obviously havn't listened to the warning given you by David. Banning is in some situations the only way as people don't change.
