Of course it's poss that he's an American serving in the British forces, but I really doubt that.

It does make a change from the usual Nigerian based scams.
US Marines use Lance Corporal, it's the rank above Private First Class. I agree though this has got to be the biggest pot of fools gold never to come out of Nigeria, although it wouldn't surprise me if it ended up being a Nigerian scam.

What I find unlikely (apart from Coca-Cola partnering up with the tobacco industry) is that they claim "The online draws was conducted by a random selection of email addresses from an exclusive list of 29,031 E-mail addresses of individuals and corporate bodies picked by an advanced automated random computer search from the internet."

I'd only registered this email account about a week before I recieved the mail and I hadn't actually used it for anything yet.

There have been cases where people who have been scammed, went over to confront the scammers. At least three people were kidnapped and held for ransom in this way.

I have heard of someone being killed, though whether true or not, I don't know, but wouldn't be too supprised, after all, these scammers are not (all) little old ladies trying to suppliment their income, they are dedicated crimminals and act as such.

Timmy!!! (southpark timmy!!!?), it's very easy to get all knids of info off the net, you were right to let it pass.

Yeah I had a look into it a while ago and read about people being held for ransom, so I'm pretty glad nothing else happened.

I'm afraid timmy is from the south park timmy, nothing like originality huh!! Ever since south park came out thats all people call me lol.
