Posting letter to Ireland?

Hi guys,

Just wondering If I have made a mistake here. At the weekend I bought an EOS400D and claimed £50 cashback from Canon. I sent off all of the forms including the barcode and copy of the reciept. However, i have just realised that I only put a "large envelope" stamp on it, should it have been via Airmail?

Would they sent the letter back to me as undelivered/unpaid duty, or just chuck it?
