    School teachers fake gunman attack

As a student you can make a map of your school for use in CS, and get the law on your arse.

But if you're a teacher who stages a fake attack by a gunman, well you might face disciplinary action.
During the last night of the trip, staff members convinced the 69 students that there was a gunman on the loose. They were told to lie on the floor or hide underneath tables and stay quiet. A teacher, disguised in a hooded sweat shirt, even pulled on a locked door.

    ...

Principal Catherine Stephens declined to say whether the staff members involved would face disciplinary action, but said the situation "involved poor judgment."

Something similar happened at my primary school when I was very young. The teachers took us into the hall and told our class that aliens had landed, they were on the field outside our school and were coming to kill us and we would all be dead within the hour, they even played a fake news broadcast one of the teacher's husbands had made an audio cassette of. I remember a load of the kids were crying, a couple of the really bad ones were taken out the hall and told it wasn't true. I remember being sceptical even at that age lol. They later told us the truth and said they had done it to give us a feeling of how people felt when the romans were coming to take over their village (that was our school topic at the time). A load of parents complained but nothing ever came of it. It's a bit sick if you ask me, I reckon that thing that happened at my school will stay with a load of the kids for the rest of their lives.

Mate of mine designed a pretty damn accurate map of the my secondary school, the map play was crap, but it was quite funny running round the school with loaded guns...

I started a Quake 3 map of my uni halls with photographed textures and everything. Then I realised just how boring a map it was and packed it in!

    That story's pretty harsh
