From the places that sell the items? i.e. if you wanted a Vans sticker, go ask in a Vans shop, Diesel in a Diesel shop, etc?

A few companies include them in the box with the product, e.g. Etnies shoes.
That's probably your best bet. I'd bet you would find most of them on eBay too though.
e-mail the UK distributors of the product in question and ask for some?

Depends on the type of brand. Skateboard companies quite often give away stickers any chance they get, not sure what the deal is now but you used to be able to flick through a magazine and see loads of "Send a S.A.E to this address for free Stickers."
I've had quite a few from Internet companies like Mozilla, Flickr, Ubuntu (get them free with their CDs), CreativeCommons, Threadless and others for free by just signing up on their site.
A lot give them away with stuff, got loads of KSwiss and Apple ones over the years. Quite often get them with music albums when you preorder direct from the record label.
Failing that eBay. I sold a few jiffy bags of skateboard stickers I got from a mate that used to work at a skate park for £30 a pop.
Look up the logo on google images, then print them on envelope labels. No-one will be able to tell
