    3am Roll call

    So who's still here and why?

    I'm just an insomniac with nothing better to do.

    Just moved to the states (10:30 here) so just having a quick read before bed.
    Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
    Enwrought with golden and silver light,
    The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
    Of night and light and the half-light,
    I would spread the cloths under your feet:
    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
    Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

    You would revise much better with a good nights sleep, honestly

    I usually sleep around 4/5 nights of the week, and I have a sleeping disorder. If you can manage a week with only one sleep you really need to see someone

    Ok may be it was a slight exageration.
    I take naps occasionally too and on average sleep every other night. I have only stayed up 2 nights in a row with practically no sleep once this year.

    I find long periods of revison (12+ hours, with breaks for toilet and food... ok hexus too) work much better for me. During the day I get distracted with everyone around... at night no one is here. Its soo cool to be in the lecture theatre when no one is here to revise

    maybe im just a freak

    Sleep is very important for concentration, i sleep 12 hours a week or less often and my concentration is shot to pieces. My brain feels like it's 90 sometimes.

    Still here, used to work nights and if I have a heavy weekend on the beer (or more recently the vino) I get kicked back into that sleeping pattern.

    Good luck, make sure you don't fall asleep in the exam!

    Cheers, I'm not feeling that tired but im going to try and get some caffeinated drinks in me and go for a walk about 8ish and have a cig

    drinks are to wake me up
    walk to help get rid of stress
    cig for the bad habit

    Have to say I WAS a little bit on the caffeine but I switched to cold water about 3am...

    why can't they make methods of keeping you up that DON'T involve going to the toilet so much???

    Oh...and apparently im going for a few drinks later on aswell....I'm going to be wrecked off a couple of pints if the tiredness catches up with me lol (cheap way to get hammered/catch up on sleep is to go out boozing when you are really tired I find lol)

    (annoying thing is i'm not a morning person, and ALL my exams start at 9:30am......on the plus side I go to bed very late so can shift my body clock the other way for it and won't be missing lectures etc)

    Ironically I was listening to an album while revising.... Frank Turner - Sleep is for the week

    Well, I dropped it off the sidestand again, which was careless and stupid, that bent the handlebar a bit more. The real problem is what I haven't done to it- any maintenance, ever.

    As a result, the rear suspension has stopped working; when it hits a bump it doesn't bounce back. I have to take it apart and try and figure out whether it's the swingarm bearings (which I reckon won't be too expensive) or the shocks (which probably will ). Still, if it is one of the shocks, that'll make me feel a bit better as as I understand it there's not much you can do to maintain them, they just work until one day they don't work any more.
