FF2.0 - Can't say I've had any of the issues mentioned by the OP.

Tried out Safari for windows and have say it's really nice but things like not being able to middle click to close tabs is a bit annoying.

Predominantly Opera, but sometimes IE if a page refuses to render properly. I love Opera widgets Much time wasted playing with the sim aquarium or 3D tetris :S

msn should have a tabbed chat system (i realise this can be done with 3rd party mods/apps)

but i reckon msoft should have 1 built into it.

then again itd result in ppl sending msgs to the wrong ppl even more often.

does anyone else find they dont use tabs half the time and just open a new window.

Yep, I never use tabs. I... open a new window, and have links set to open in a new window.

    I use IE...

I did use firefox for a long time... just a few things niggle me.. (like file>new window brings a blank window instead of a copy of the one i had open).

I never used tabs too, i really tried too... i just like a task bar full of IE boxes

    IE for me.

Oh, I remember the days when you were "different" if you used anything else. Almost edgy even. Now (on techie forums anyway) you're different if you use IE. Not so edgy though.

The good thing about tabs is you can have a mess at the top of the screen and a mess at the borrom

hehe, you should see mine at work on an average day...

5x mozilla instances all with about 10 tabs open on various things, and ususally a couple of IE instances for site checking too.

IE7 in work, FF & IE7 on XP-MCE and XP-PRO and IE7 on Vista (XP-MCE and Vista is dual boot).

XP-MCE/Vista dual boot is my main machine and the FF bug that I have is since MCE crashed a while back FF won't let me save any downloads or images (so I use IE to download anything instead).

I've uninstalled/re-installed/updated FF and this problem still exists.

I don't want to re-install XP just yet as I've got pretty far in some of the games I've got installed and I don't fancy backing the saves up (plus I've got to find where my MCE discs are :/ as they're not on my shelf where I left them).

Firefox v2.0.0.4. However I agree that FF isn't as good as the 1.0 or 1.5 versions were.

Thinking about switching to Opera. Last time I tried Opera (a few months ago) the adblocking just wasn't strong enough for me. Some ads that FF + Adblock Plus blocked automatically I couldn't get rid of manually whatever I tried.

I only ever use IE7 for WindowsUpdate and Office updates as well. Were it not for WindowsUpdate I'd probably completely remove IE7 and associated stuff from Windows using nLite.
