God , You guys make me feel so old. I started work in 1966 as a telecoms apprentice . After that I did about 20 years on passive electronics then for the next 18years I did fibre optic and higher order digital system electronics. (core transmission transport systems). I am now gearing down towards retirement -sometime ! ,but still enjoying every minute of the jobbie. .

Was in various forms of retail management for 15 years and now, erm, I'm not.

Currently a property developer. Well, if you call decorating your own house developing

Basically I'm a layabout until we move house, then I start jobhunting again. Anyone looking for staff in Jersey ?

Got a PhD in Economics and worked in that sector for a while after I finished education until one day I realised that I didnt really like my job or sector.

Now I am a network achitect for a large multi-national construction company where I spend my days designing, writing reports about and then implementing network designs. I also help out some friends small businesses setup their networks too at cost.

I've worked in the software industry for my entire working life of 21 years - started as a junior programmer back in 1986 after graduating.

These days I work as a Senior Consultant for an American software house.
