    I've been waiting for the first. Who's the biggest poser with a fair bit of cash ?

    A couple of our customers had them. It burned my skin when they paid. Must have a built in scum sensor. I know it has ridiculous benefits, but is the fee not something like $2500 ? Drop in the ocean for those folks though I s'pose.

    I wouldn't be surprised, apparently you can roll up to Bentley (or Learjet, if you're hardcore) and buy a car (or plane) with a swipe of the card. They must have something to keep us commoners away.

    Fees are $5000 one time sign up, $2500 annual and $250,000 minimum yearly spend. I think the UK card is cheaper but you don't get as many cool benefits.

    I'm not surprise people don't mention the colour of their credit cards. It used to be that having a gold card was something special. Now all Barclaycard require for a Platinum card is that you:

    * Have a good credit history
    * Are 21 or over
    * Have a permanent UK address for 3 months or more
    * Have a regular income of more than £10,000 pa
    * Don't already have a Barclaycard
    * Haven't missed multiple payments on a credit agreement within the last 12 months
    * Don't have a CCJ,IVA or have not been registered bankrupt
    * Aren't a student

    So pretty much anyone can have one.

    Talking about those black cards, I used to work with a guy who had one. Apparently, if he needed something hard to find, or needed to arrange something last minute, he could give them a call and they would sort it all out for him.

    He was very flash, but a top bloke.

    I had a gold Amex a few years ago becasue they offered me it for no annual fee. Never used it, then canceled when they tried to charge me £85 the next year. Was also offered a platinum one, but that was bout £350 a year. No thanks.

    My JohnLewis Mastercard could have been black, but i took the green colour option

    Amex Blue, CapitalOne Platinum, MorganStanley Gold and my RBS Gold Visa all live in the drawer at home. Used them all at one time or another, but don't now. No need.
