I think Kylie would make a great assistant, although she'd have to break into that museum that has her gold hot pants on display.

Blimey, i don't usually watch Dr Who but I saw the one with Tate at Christmas...my feet nearly curled up ten yards of carpet while watching her.
Dr Who has been superb with the exception of the bag of crap episodes at the start of this series, with the Pig Men in old brown B&Q boiler suits..... those two were utter utter dross. But it got better, and I've enjoyed it massively.
Whether Madam Tate will make it worse or not I dare not say. The Christmas one was better than the Empire State Pig Trough episodes that I rate just below pig swill.
I am very impressed with the lass who replaced Billie Piper, cos she's been bloody superb.

Freema Agyeman has been bloody superb, in fact the best since good old Sarah Jane.
Unfortunately she won't be appearing in season 4 until half way through, which is unfortunate.
As for Tate stepping in, i'm not so sure she's going to be as bad people think. Never know, she might surprise us and be stonking in it, but i'm sure as soon as she flicks the wrong switch the wrong way, the fanboys will be over her quicker than anthrax in a cowshed
Still she may be good.
And being a fanboy of Dr Who myself, i have to say David Tennant is THE best Dr since god himself, Tom Baker
And Captain Jack is a mad in real life as he is in Dr Who apparently according to the wife who also doesn't care that he likes the other side lol

I'd half agree with that. Do you not think its just a real shame that they wasted and killed off - and in some ways miss-represented some of the core evil guys.Dr Who has been superb with the exception...
Cybermen - never used to mean "cyber space man" with blue tooth headsets, they where aliens - core of evil, only vunerable to gold,
Daleks - hard to mess up, but they did, things like no Davros ??? and killing them off in the way they did
The Master - such as waste a core charecter it the Dr who universe,
The Rani - still no sign
The core mistake is saying the Dr is the last time lord and having Galiphray destroyed.
It is Inevitable.....
Ah but Galifrey did indeed get destroyed
When the civil war had finished, the Daleks again became the biggest threat in the universe. But then they just vanished from history, travelling into the vortex in order to fight the last great Time War against the Time Lords. The war ended when the Doctor managed to destroy the Dalek fleet, but he also destroyed the Time Lords' home planet. He thought that there were no other survivors. However, at least two Daleks did survive. taken from http://www.whoniverse.org/monsters/daleks.php
The Master isn't dead
Davros was disentegrated by the Daleks after a trial aswell
That website above is full of pretty good info

that info is based on the new series too,
I said it was a mistake to destroy galiphey as some of the best stories in the older Dr who's revolved around it in some way.
The things you are quoting are pretty much setup for the new "modern" Dr Who series, the point I was badly trying to make that while they have done a good job resurecting the idea of Dr Who and re-implimenting it, they have also broke/strayed away from some of the core story/rules of the origional Dr who universe.

I quite liked him actually.

She will be back - and hopefully will throw Tate into a nearby black hole!
Could have been much better with decent stories - Kandyman (Happiness Patrol) anyone?
Remember the "Flash Gordon" inspired bit at the end?
The Master has escaped worse than that before now

I liked McCoy too...
I've tried (really tried) to like the modern incarnations of Dr Who but I've just been unable to get into them. I didn't like Ecclestone as the Dr very much and I think it's put me off giving DT a fair try (who is a superb actor). Maybe I'll try again...
Ecclestone was shut a let down. I had high hopes for him and he pissed it away by being a bit too immature and stupid. (Especially with that Billie Piper in tow)
David Tenant is brilliant, you should give him a chance. He's like a mix of Tom Baker with his funny moments then deadly lethal and nasty aspect, then light hearted and funny.
I think SM was let down by the scripts, and that stupid assistant of his, Ace. He was also too similar to Peter davidson with the way he dressed.
However, as has been said, they do seem to get rid of the original nasty monsters easily like the Daleks, Cybermen, and The Master - even though he will be back ala Max Von Sydow from Flash Gordon film with the ring at the end.
Shame Davros isn't about, then they'd have to shift the time slot up an hour (i wish)
And thank god no one has mentioned Mcgann or Eric Roberts

McGann
Seriously though - his audio stories have been pretty decent. Likewise, Ace's work in McCoy's Audio stories has been ok. (Her character developed a lot more in the New Adventure books after Survival)
(And don't forget we've not had any REAL Cybermen yet... the ones from Mondos...)
