1 from Beavers years ago and 1 from university bowling club 2 years ago. High score game of the year, 231.
Trophies? Not many ...... and buried in a box in the loft somewhere. I won a Backgammon competition in Romania back the '70s, and played Bridge (especially duplicate) at a high level for several years, but that was ages ago too.
Got about 8 for Football, 4 for cricket maybe a golf one and basketball.
Got a few for army cadet things such as shooting, inter-company challenges and also a lovely trophy for a Darts tournament I won when I was 15.
Fantasy football trophy - 2 years on the run, going for the threepeat
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.
3 x champion athlete (in my year group) trophies from school sports days (2 I won outright, one shared), and a bunch of medals from the events I won. That's it though I think.
My dad has the engraved plaque he got for winning University Challenge - The Professionals, which is a pretty cool trophy. I'm tempted to enter a team of bus drivers next year to see if I can get one too.
No trophy for it, but still hold the triple jump record at school 10.5m (Not bad for a bloke without training!)
In the first year the triple jump helped me win the title- I was one of two who knew how to do it properly, so came second by default. I won the shot for the same reason against three big fat kids.
