Police searching for a missing teenager have found a body close to a railway line.
Natasha Coombs, 17, has not been seen since boarding a train from Ipswich in Suffolk, to her home in Dovercourt, Essex, on 27 July.

Essex Police said a body was found close to Manningtree railway station in Essex where Natasha is believed to have got off the train.

On my doorstep practically, I have teenage daughters & I'm seriosly worried.

My heart goes out to the family

could happen anywhere mate. All over the UK, little girl on holiday in spain, even a dodgy teacher in their own school... You'd neverlet kids out the house if you thought about it like that. Best you can do is teach your daughter to stick with their mates, dont walk home late at night, always carry their mobile, etc.. and how valuable a swift kick to the knackers can be, if all else fails.

I remember as kids, my sister once did a "self defence" class for just one week. You can maybe even find night classes in that for FREE somewhere. But even if you had to pay, it would be worth it. It seemed to work really well anyway.. judging by how efficiently she used to beat me up.

such a tragic waste i'd be worried sick too hon but remember this can happen anywhere... you just don't expect it on your doorstep, just tell your Girls to stay safe never be out alone. That goes for Girls anywhere... it guts me sometimes when you see these young Girls out alone at night they think they are invincible see 'em all the time in our town.

My heart goes out to that poor family it really does, but at least they wil have closure however a cold comfort it may seem.

teach them too claw at the eye, whilst there aren't many nerves there at all (so it won't really cause pain) it will disorentate/panic people.

Not to mention get a shed load of very hard to clean up DNA, might as well give the police a clue.

However, its still far more likely to just die on the road.

Re: Missing Natasha police find body

I remember when I was little and my sisters friend had a "rape alarm". I thought it was the greatest idea ever... It looked like a lipstick or something, and all you do is press a button on it and it lets out a siren so loud... its almost deafening.

The problem though, I later realised... is that people don't pay attention to things like that. So unless someone tried to abduct you right across the street from some passers by or something... its pretty useless

Nicely put by the way "shelley bda".
