    Why is it...

...that E-buyer hold the stuff (in stock) till the last possible shipping date before sending it out, so you always get stuff on the "deliver by" date? Almost every other shop Ive used just sends it out when its ready, and its actually quite rare not to receive something before the deadline from somewhere else!

Just venting my frustration with them...

The only reason I can think of for this, is that they just don't have enough van capacity. Hense why nextday is not always avalible. However it is still very annoying.

Could also be that keeping it "in stock" makes the website look better ?

But its more likely that they just don't have the man power to pick and dispatch any faster :/

Well, luckily, its not as if Ebuyer is the #1 place to buy stuff online, so its no big deal.

As for the reason? Lack of man power? Sheer volume of orders? Lack of organisation?

You would think that the amount of turnover those guys d, their profits cant be that bad, so they should be able to employ the staff.

Agreed. I wouldn't really use ebuer for much, just that they do have some great deaals, LED case fans for about £1.50, cheap rounded cables, the ATi remote etc that are just far more expensive everywhere else. Its just a pity, because they could be one of the best websites for odds and ends, if they only sorted out their customer service and employed a few more staff.

but if they can get away with employing the minimum amount of staff and charge their customers for the 'privilidge' of jumping to the front of the queue, then they aren't going to...

How much would you pay for 'Guaranteed Next Day Delivery'?

Its not the fact that they don't offer next day delivery that annoys me, its the fact that every time Ive ordered stuff they seem to "hold" it until the last day theyve allowed, ie I feel that even if it was ready they wouldnt send it even if it was ready in order to try and push you into going for the priority service if you want your stuff quicker.

This is, of course, just cynicism and speculation, but it has happened to me every time Ive ordered stuff from them.

I've noticed this recently too, they used to be good for shipping, but now they actually refuse to send the item until the last day allowed - I'm sure it's because they want people to upgrade to the "quicker" service - I object to my card being charged on Tuesday and item sent on friday
