Dito, it seems that reality TV is the easiest route to go down these days.

Pile-o-junk the lot of them with BB at the very top.

Why is it just by looking at them you can tell if they can sing or not ?????? Soon as a red neck hill billy type walks i n you know they are going to be crap ! I must admit its better since they got 'Lou-Lou' back as Mrs O calls him !

I cannot tolerate reality TV in any of it's pathetic guises. Even the one with girls trying to become a model is mindless crap, and I normally love pretty girls. (Though to be fair I saw episode 1 and spotted the winner this time).

My advice is, rather than watch it and complain, get a girlfriend.

I think it's boring too. Adding Dannii Minogue doesn't really spark a new light to it and only the ones which sing really bad kinda make me laugh.

Re: X-Factor - is it me, or is the show damn boring this year?

I hate it. Its so lame. First half is all about laughing at people's expense etc.. And then the second half is cheering for people to be stars, when they can't write anything, can rarely play any instruments, have no lyric writing abilities etc.. They are just singers that are barely better than the ones who do kareoke every friday night.

I saw that lad from Manchester who won a couple of years ago, on something the other day, and they obiously are forcing him to dance now like fricken Justin Timberlake or whatever. He just looks like a nob, and the song was crap. Good on him for being just some manchester lad living in a little house with his ma, and getting himself sorted with a bunch of money and then he probably wont have to work again etc. But.... I dont want to watch it, and I don't like to think of stuff like that being in the charts where real music used to be.

I dont rate anyone on X Factor. The only exception was Liona Lewis last year who did have a good voice. Shame she vanished into thin air as soon as the show finished.

Shes been in LA working with some top guy in the field producing her first album which is out in November I think. I think they are serious with her, they just aren't rushing things. They had a thing about her on This Morning, erm this morning.

Reality TV just seems to be a schedule filler these days. Let's face it, the same recipe - be it for X-Factor, Big Brother or any other show - is repeated year after year. It's only a matter of time before they become unstuck.

Yeah so I hear. I will be impressed if she explodes with a big album and stuff. I did wonder if they thought she needed another year to mature, and that gave them time to prepare the music too. But my concern is that they missed out on all the buzz, and maybe some people may not remember her.

    Yeah, it really should.

Does anyone watch "Last Comic Standing"? I think its only on sky. I like it anyway. I think its better than the X Factor.

Its basically like the X-Factor, but with comedians... and no simon cowell

So its great. They are really funny, and more entertaining than all these singers (I think anyway), and the format of the show is improved too. They have challenges to do, instead of just round after round of performances. There was 3 judges to begin with, and in the later stages its just public votes so the judges aren't even there. Miles better than X-Factor.

Its a new show though so not many people have heard of it yet. And the prize is only $250,000 and a contract. As the show gets more popular though (like next year maybe), I think that will increase a lot, and it will end up being a million dollars or something.
