...is set to get airborne! El Reg linky
That's great. I remember sitting in the cockpit of one of these beauties at an airstrip/museum outside of Sunderland. One of the most enduring memories of my youth, climbing up the ladder to get into the Vulcan. Would love to be there for the initial flight.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes well.

I'm glad that there's at least one in good enough nick that they CAN get it (fingers-crossed) airborne. I've seen the one that used to be parked outside Blackpool Airport a few times and that was tragic.
Yeh def hope all goes well and it roars into the skys once more.
Hell and Fire was spawned to be released.
My god, what a truly stunning piece of Aero architecture... I can't wait to see it flying in the flesh

HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY

Pretty tame takeoff compared to what i've seen in the past
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
unfortunately I don't expect to see them pushing the limits even in the displays (& with this being the first test flight they certainly weren't going to - notice how long before they retracted the gear?) next year - too valuable to stress too much.
Think BoBMF Lancaster.
"Not since this aircraft XH855 arrive here in 1995..." Prick..he couldn't even get the bloody number correct. It's a lot like the BBC and others (I'm thinking government) talking about the Anglican Regiment rather than the Anglian Regiment in Afghanistan.
Loverly to see it fly. Had to have a few bits and pieces from the engines repaired/replaced which was supported by RR and a few employees who spent their free time to get the powerplants up and running. Hats off to all.
Concorde next....

Yeh concorde next... I remember when it came into land at Filton Bristol my god what a sight and sound it flew really low alcross the city and was so LOUD. So annoying they grounded it because the French cant keep their runways clean.
