I've sold 3 guitars through ebay and have got good money for them, although they are a pain to ship, if you are selling it with a hard case then it would be easier to send out.
Obviously you can arrange the auction so it's buyer collects only, but that way you are limiting your seller base by quite a large chunk. Make sure you take 5 or 6 good qualityphotos to put on the auction and you should do well.
I tried the method of putting a card in 3 local music shop windows and in the local free paper with no luck.
Good luck with the sale you must really need the funds as that's a very nice guitar indeed

Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Nice bass sir, been gas'ing for a Rickenbacker myself lately (watched cliff 'em all again a couple of months back) shame I've not got the funds to hand at the moment
As Trash said though, ebay is probably your best bet, I've sold my Fender and a mates Godin through ebay and both sold for the right price fairly easily.
As these good fella's said, Flea bay is good - i sold a Jagstang for very good money but it was hard cased and i did fill the case with bubble wrap. Take pic's of any marks or damage and point it out, that way theres no comeback, it is a lovely guitar and being a bass player its one i've allways wanted to play !
Ebay and as already said do not restrict yourself to pickup only.
My last Les Paul bass(a real one) made £100 more than I expected.
The last four guitars I have sold have all made money.
Timing is what it is all about. Have a look at what is selling if somebody is selling the same as your very nice instrument then wait.
Parcelforce are great at delivering and pick them up from your house.
If you do not have a case(yeah I see one in your pic) then pack the neck well and just write on it guitar.
Pay for the insurance its only a couple of pounds.
Never had a problem with them.
I sold a guitar via eBay (a few years ago now) with no problems. It went in a Fender gig bag (so quite plushly padded), inside a cardboard box.
