    Mini Photo Gallery - (pics)

Show us some (2 max) pictures you've taken that you're chuffed with. Can be anything you want (as long as it's family friendly) - max size 640x640.

Let us know what camera you used to take them - and tell us a bit about the photos too. What makes you like the photos.

This is my wife Heather - it was taken with a Minolta E223. I like it because you can't see me in the mirror and she looks happy

//edit - anyone got some tips on free image hosting? there's uploadit.org but the free bit's down at the mo'

Looking out of the plane on the way back from Austria.

    Same flight; landing at Manchester.

Both taken on a fairly old Canon SLR - built in light meter, manual focus, manual aperture and shutter speed. Don't ask me what the settings were - not the foggiest

I like both of them because they're a bit surreal; the first one almost looks like you're in space. The second one was a complete mistake - took a picture and didn't realise the exposure was so long I think that it's amazing how you can create something so abstract by taking a picture of someting that's quite real

edit: sorry, didn't share the photos in fotango - logged out so they disappeared "doh" should be back in a mo

    edit: back again

Fraid not, I've got hard copies but no scanner - they're a couple of years old from when I used Fotango to develop my piccies (they did free developing and then you paid for the photos you wanted). I think they decided their business model wasn't quite profitable and so they cut down the res of the pictures stored on their web servers.

The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster in around March 2003 time... Great band, but their live performance has definitely peaked and troughed since they first started touring.

Satyricon, back in February 2003 (ish?)... Not the best black metal band out there, but they're a lot of fun to watch/dance to.
This is one of my favourite pictures, despite my lack of knowledge in jpeg compression back when it was taken... and the greasy idiots that were stood in front of me (fricking tall, they were...).

Both pictures were taken with a Fujifilm Finepix 1400 Zoom - 3xoptical zoom, 1.3Mp

First I have to apologise, this shot was taken the morning after getting the camera. This was a time before Aperture, F-Stop, Infinity Focus came apparent to me!
Saying that, this was about 2 weeks ago!

Morning after getting camera - Soft

Morning after getting camera - Hard

Taken with my, shiny new, Fuji s602z. Unfortunately I only had the standard 16mb SM at this point and everything was taken @ 1MP.

More than likely everything was shot on AUTO, but not bad results from auto imho

Still need to learn a stupidly large amount to do with photography though, but I'm getting there!

The second picture is a little bit sharper than the first. I couldn't decide what one to submit here so I put both up

There is three settings of sharpness on my camera, Normal, Soft & Hard. I think I used Soft and Hard for each picture retrospectively...

A closeup image of some flowers with raindrops.. I love it for some reason. Lol. I have plenty more but it only says 2

Taken with an Olympus MJU:300 3.2MegaPixel camera. Lovely quality from such a compact camera

Yeah, they haven't really performed particularly well since their headline tour in November 2002. They don't suit large stages and big sound systems... a small venue, and just their amps + vocal PA, for example the Roadhouse and the Underworld, is ideal for their sound/style. Shame really, as they're an amazing band, and all very nice guys. Not many psychobilly bands get to where they are right now, except for the Cramps, maybe.

I didn't stay for Placebo, btw... balding men and screaming idiot girls aren't really my thing, TBH!

Really like your flower shot there Howard, seems very close up, how far away was that shot?

This is a picture of my mate Matt taken at someone else’s house. I just thought it looked cool.

This is a picture of one of my cats. It was taken in my room and it was a bit dark. I like it because it looks like my cat kind of posed for the shot. Also he looks cute.

Afraid my pictures are probably not up to the standard of others as they were taken with my T610 camera phone. I have numerous other pictures taken with non-digital cameras, but alas I have no scanner. BTW free uploadit.org is working again.
