    Christmas Shopping...

Are you a last minute kind of person, or are you organised & purchased and wrapped everything already? Personally I'm of the latter, well everything's bought & stashed away. Having 4 kids we generally start the buying in August to make sure they all get a goodly haul. Plus it's the only way to be able to afford it all tbh.

This year tho, I have done 100% of my shopping online & it's great! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not adverse to getting off my bum & trogging round the shops, but at christmas it's so damned tedious. Plus I've nabbed a few online bargains with quidco & google checkout etc. The mrs on the other hand has done her share in the shops, being a bit of a technophobe & paranoid about online fraud she's nabbed her fair share of prize purchases. (I know she stands more of a chance getting defrauded in random shops & petrol stations, but what can you do )

So on the balance of things it's been about 50/50 on the bargain front, but I recon I win anyway. Because I'm a man so there But as Parm said in his DS post, at least with a shop, if it breaks or is faulty you can go in & have a face-to-face and sort it out.

    Anyway, done yours yet?

All done here! I am too lazy to go round the shops so most of it was done online.

    Re: Christmas Shopping...

I have no idea what to buy people anymore, it all seems just a tremendous waste of money and time for people who you really don't have any contact with and who aren't part of your life anymore.

    Re: Christmas Shopping...

I actually enjoyed it this year, I graduated in july, so not being a student anymore, this is the first Christmas in a while I've actually been able to afford presents.

I bought my dad Trap Door series 1 and 2 on DVD, so I cant wait to see that (honestly, it is for him primarily, but i may as well enjoy it right?)

    Re: Christmas Shopping...

not started. Might do some tomorrow in Lerwick before catching the ferry, but I'll probably end up with nothing for anyone else and something for me.... as usual

Thursday afternoon i'm going shopping in Aberdeen. I plan to get everything in one go, might even just get it all in JL and collect it by car, can't be done with crowds these days. Tried to do some shopping in Glasgow last week, but ended up in Costa, StarBucks and an EasyInternet (in a Cafe Nero) instead
