email virus warning thingies

I know they're hoaxes etc, but they're getting on my boobs now! I opened my inbox today to 24 of these "virus warning" type emails, some of them addressed to "john@katlike.co.uk" and stupid things like that. I just delete them, but is there any way of stopping them?

the emails look summit like this:

Sophos AntiVirus has detected viruses in this email.
The following attachments were infected and have been removed:

1. rzbw.scr: W32/MyDoom-A

If you know the sender, you may wish to notify them that their system may be infected, however the "From" address may be forged.

Ha... you should try working in a coporate enviroment..... The mailsweeper cluster I look after deals with roughly a million mails a day on average day. However, once virus activity like this start, it goes silly....

Been arguing for months and months that we should simply silently quarantine stuff and NOT notify however, it falls on deaf ears.

Yup this is seriously spreading. I had four e-mails saying "Mailer Deamon" followed by "your e-mail was blocked" (iirc) i didn't open them though 'cause it told me to open a .htp so i thought this was quite dodgy and deleted all of them (2 in inbox, 2 in junk mail)

Had a few different variations of this from yahoo and other sources with zip files attached to the mail itself saying ASCII files etc with the info I requested.

I'm the one that gets our mailserver's AV notification at work....sheeeeeesh this is a bad one, huh! And all because of SCO!!

Sometimes they are the ASCII representation of the octet stream - or what would have been the viral e-mail attachment.
