    Re: Victory!

Well, I really can't be bothered to comment on the clearly insane drugs policy in the UK but I do want to say something about the BBC. Ever since that 'sexed up dossier' affair and that dodgy whitewash enquiry the BBC has gotten worse and worse, I see huge bias in favour of whatever the government position happens to be on any given issue with no critical analysis of anything. I have stopped reading the website regularly and I now only watch Channel 4 news on TV.

I wish I could cancel BBC tbh, I should be able to as I can only get Sky where I live (no digital or analoge due to being located in the bottom of tyne valley with lots of big buildings around). It would be nice if I could get Sky to block the BBC channels and I could save myself £106 per year. I used to be happy to pay it for the news and top gear, now I am paying £106 for top gear and I reckon I could get that for far less on DVD.

Similar thing happened in London a few months ago.
We got a call from the police to have a look at a basement in Brixton, so a colleague of mine went along.
There was a large cellar rigged with lamps and fans and loads of cannabis plants, and the guy running it had tried to steal power by tapping into a low voltage distribution cable that was running in cleats through the basement.
Unfortunately, he was more skilled in horticulture than cable jointing, and killed himself.
My colleague said it was a little disconcerting trying to examine the cable with the cadaver still there.
