Luv em? Hate em? Indiferent?
Seems to me tattoo's have become so much more acceptable than they were say 20 years ago when I first started collecting them. Howerver, they still polarise opinion. Poeple like Robbie Williams & David Beckham, and the whole emo scene have done a lot to push them foward, but in my opinion, not in a good way. Creativity and originality have been replaced wit so many copycat designs.
Having said that, there are a lot more good artists out there than there used to be.

I don't mind them on other people, and I've seen some really beautiful examples, but one has freckles. Lots of. Freckles + tattoo? Not a brilliant idea....

I don't mind them, as long as they are reasonably tasteful. Also depends where they are - you can be the nicest guy in the world, but having tattoos on your face will make people prejudge you.

Not for me personally, but I don't mind them on others - one girl I know has a full Japanese back piece in the works, and it looks really nice

I've only ever seen one tattoo that didn't look cheap and essex, even then give her 10 years to age, perhaps even have kdis and it will just look Runcorn.

I want one someday, definitely something individual to me (no tribal designs, skulls, hearts etc...) and of course discreet enough that it can be hidden when it needs to...

can't say they really do it for me either - I'f certainly not got the skin for it myself , although I have seen a couple of very nice ones on people - the nato issue slag tag / target one that women go for really does not float my boat.

Do mind them tbh..........lots of my mates in the forces had them but i stayed away because i didnt want them when im older.

I think they make women look a bit 'scrubberish' aswell.

Just all seems pikey like.

They can look really good on some people - others look like bad cartoons - I suppose it depends on the skill of the artist to a degree (and the technology of the guns/inks etc.) I really enjoy watching Miami Ink and L.A. Ink though, as I appreciate the skills involved.

A relation who was in the Navy has some really faded, awful looking ones on his forearms and he hates them. I came close to getting some knotwork on my upper arms back in the late 90s but I didn't like the idea of being stuck with something I couldn't get rid of and still don't. So, no - not for me but they can look good on some.

There will be huge numbers of tattooed elderly women if I make it to old age and I find that a pretty disturbing thought.

Back in the day I wanted to get some on my forearms, personal stuff not tribal etc..

Got a bit older and thought better of it. I agree they can look good but I didn't really feel the need to get them in the end.

Not a huge fan of girls getting the typical tramp stamp, you'd think they could be a bit more creative.

I have 3 tattoos...

all related to music...

and i love them.

they wont be to everyones taste...

and as for not liking them when im older... I'll be old and wrinkly everywhere, i wont be bothered about how sagging a tattoo is when im sagging all over

I have one at the bottom of my back it's there so I can cover it up for work... wouldn't consider having anything done in a place that can't be covered up

Well it depends on how they are done... BlackDwarf's is nice, but some peoples' look completely OTT.

I thought about it years ago before they really started getting popular, but then couldn't decide what to get. Don't really like them now.

I don't mind them on others if they are done right or are unusual. Its all the girls with the chinese or celtic patterns in the small of their backs that really put me off though.
