My understanding is that higher mAh on the label do not necessarily translate to better performance. Take a look here, and notice that while your Energizer deliver it's claims, many batteries don't. In fact, the 2900mAh tested turned out delivering less than your current 2500mAh. The ones from 7 days shop might be cheap regardless (and a bargain if they delivery what they claim), but you may also end up with a side/downgrade. It's a shame that site hasn't been updated for a while but I don't really think many people would find rechargeable battery exciting enough to spend hours testing. if you want something that is definitely better than what you have (pretty good), I would suggest either looking for Maha, Sanyo or higher capacity Energizers. As far as they know, those three are consistent performers.

Incidentally, how long do most cameras run on 2500+mAh AAs?

Mine doesn't take AAs, but I took it on a 2 week holiday with a single 720mAh li-ion battery and it lasted the whole trip (taking over 600 photos). I'd have thought a camera using 2 or 4 2500mAh batteries would last a ridiculous amount of time.

That's a tough one to answer. Battery life vary quite significantly between models. Realistically, 600 shots is among the best you will find. The Canon A-series allows 400-500 shots. To be fair though, some Li-on cameras only manage ~250 shots.

Ah thanks, so they're maybe more related to peak performance than consistent performance... In that case these might be better as they're only 26p more for 4x 2500mAh Energisers: Rechargeable, AA
