Its bad luck not to name your car.
I've had words with Betty not to roll onto her side any more tho, it damages her paintwork....

My first car was a B reg, Dark Brown Mk1 Vauxhall Astra estate, and was affectionately known as "the turd". It had an AM/LW only radio cassette in the dash (the original, then "decoy" radio), and we fitted a mini-disk player in the glove box. Many a happy hour spent swerving across the M25 trying to swap disks.
I Loved that car in a way, My Mum and Brother had it before me (and it was second hand when my Mum got it) It never once broke down but just quietly rusted away. (In the end my mate put his foot through one of the sills, so when the MOT came around we didn't even bother ) Even years later I occasionally dream that I'm driving it!
Names since then have been boringly descriptive. "The red Astra" (to distinguish from the brown one), "The Fester" for my GFs Fiesta, and "The Pug" for my current 306.
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.
