Currently got the contents of multiple hard drives going to my server, once thats done, roll on reformat time, followed by the inevitable call to the MS activation line, having to punch in a 1000000 number code, followed by re-entering a different code just to activate my copy of windows!

Got all my driver disks/windows disks etc in a CD wallet, and as ISO files just in case!

Also for the love of god someone make transfering stuff quicker! Although it is my fault in this cause as alot of stuff is coming off USB hard drives

i couldnt find zip ties so got some of those "metal rods encased in plastic" that you find around wires on new stuff etc... but longer. these and maybe an air bag or two sandwiched between top of heatsink and case panel should be ok i guess

well you could always get something like acronis trueimage - install windows etc and then IMAGE the drive and keep this as a snap-shot so of the proverbial does hit the fan, you have an image to recover from which can be quicker than the usual reinstall route

not just me then, all i need is an esata bracket for my case and i could use that, as my enclosures are esata/usb2 but i keep forgetting to add one to my orders

once ive got the stuff off my laptop externals, then things should speed up, as il be able to transfer stuff over the network, but seriously the ETA its giving me is 2 and a half hours!

iv sodded off the reformat and just had a cleanout and backup. its running perfect so in a moment of clarity i decided to save myself some unnecessary hassle.

All of the bandwidth for miles around has been taken up by me having to download 114 updates (im still only on about 6 of 114), that combined with redownloading steam stuff, means its actually quicker to web browse on my phone!
