Some other things to remind people to do: -
1) Password your PC! I've done both BIOS and Windows. I've also put Windows screensaver passworded and set to 1 minute. Windows Key + L locks the computer as well. Get into a habit of doing it whenever you leave your PC!
2) Log out of forum accounts, and turn "Remember Me" off, unless you want to "come out".
3) Log out of MSN and don't let it auto sign in. Ask Aussie about this one and whether his Mum noticed!
Think those are the basic security requirements for the LAN.
Luckily at work having to stick to strict ISO rules and guidelines, locking machines when you leave your desk has been drummed into me.
Not that I think there has been a security issue at Gameon this is more taken from my time at the I-series, when not at your desk, sleeping/getting supplies etc, just use a bit of common sense, don't leave phones lying around on your desk, same with your wallet etc.
Being a nice big clan it should be easy to spot anyone getting up to mischief with other peoples stuff, safety in numbers (really not trying to scare-monger, just rather be safe than sorry)
Something else to remind everyone to do before they leave: -
Update Steam!
Although there is an Internet connection, it isn't very fast, and between 60 of us, will be pretty much non-existant.
my little project has just become a lot more funky, and actually requires me to remember LESS things than the original method. ooOOOoo....
