What's that got to do with the price of fish? Because we use it we shouldn't expect Microsoft to conform to legal requirements and cough up when they infringe someone's patent? They make enough of a bloody fuss when someone infringes THEIR intellectual property rights - should they somehow be held to a lesser standard of probity than they demand of others?
edit: It's not about whether their software is buggy. It's not about how rich Bill Gates is. It's about a theft of intellectual property, you know, the stuff that they saddled us with product activation over, and didn't we just LOVE that. It's about very questionable business practices. It's about possible breaches of the law undertaken to ensure that their WAS no alternative, and that affects all of us, including those who DO use their products.
