Meet Idea: Thorpe Park Anyone?

I've just been browsing the net at work and I've come across two events that Thorpe Park are going to be running in October / November.

Thorpe Blast - 7- 9th November: http://www.thorpepark.com/thorpe-blast.php - music playing throughout the park, could be hit and miss though depending on music taste!
Fright Night - 13th October - 2 November: http://www.thorpepark.com/fright-nights.php - halloween theme throughout the park with mazes that I've heard are pretty good!

Both look pretty good as there is something else to do beside going on the rides! And the park is open late depending on date till 10PM! Would anyone be interested in going?

As its just off the M25, I imagine a lot of people could get there quite easily? There is also a bus service that runs from Staines to Thorpe Park for anyone who wanted to come via train.

If a group booking / discount can be arranged it can be a fairly cheap day out

I haven't been to a meet yet, but this sounds like one I'd be up for!

I love theme parks and usually go to Alton Towers, but I've never been to Thorpe Park. The "Blast" days sound like a headache, but the "Halloween" event could be a lot of fun.

I'd have to run it by the missus, but I think the two of us would be up for it.

Sweet I'm a big fan of theme parks as well myself! I've been to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park quite a bit over the years, been to thorpe park twice this year already

Same weekend as the LAN unfortunately. With Bletchley Park also this month, don't think I'd be able to make this as well.

I'd love to, but not with the Bletchley meet and the LAN so close together (also been invited to a murder mystery night, a house party and Hard House Accademy around that time).

There is a Hexus weekend in the pipeline encompassing a theme park, but it's again something that I'll be thrashing out closer to the end of the year.

(rairai is surprisingly, only human, therefore organising a meet and a LAN is about the capacity at the moment!)

Due to the fact that we will then be getting into Xmas time (and prime rave season), the only other "tigz-arranged" event happening this year will be a central london mini-meet in the second week of Dec. (10th/11th time)

Ah right didnt realise that, I'm going to have to get myself to a LAN at some point, only ever been to multiplay as a spectator before, sounds like it could be fun!

I agree with Rai completely here though, not this year, way too much going on already (meet, LAN, traveling the country etc.)

I'd have been happy to have organised something but never mind.

I'm most likely going to go with a few friends on the 1st of November which is the second to last day of fright night, could meet up with people there during the day if they wanted ...

This is one potential future meet I may not attend, I'm not the biggest fan of theme parks!

But maybe for sometime next year could prove popular.

Too much going on atm Bletchly, LAN2 (ZOMG getting closer ) various Birthdays and then the wonder that is Christmas.
