and I get at least 50 spam emails a day
    I can't take much more...
How can I stop the phone msgs? Can I???
How did they get my number...

I get loadsa spam emails, but only get spam text's about once every couple of months, they're much more annoying than emails cos it interupts what you're doing at the time when you think it's gonna be something important so it's an invasion of your privacy. I also got one at 4am which woke me up once from big brother (don't ask me how, I've never text in for anything....maybe it's cos I'm with 02)

You could always try someone like this if its getting too much to bear.

    http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tpsr/html/default.asp

I agree though the amount of utter rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe that gets sent these days is almost making mobile phones/e-mail etc completely worthless.

When I moved house I made my number ex-directory and haven't had a crap phone call since. You can also do the same with mobiles I think.

Call your phone service provider and tell them. They should be able to block it, One2one did for me.

Failing that good old Icstis, The people that give these people the licence to send the messages in the first place, if they spam stuff that does fall within the licences of the premium rate licencing laws, i.e clear indication of call costs, correct advertising etc then you can get them fined and banned from sending sms's.

I know because i have to deal with them on the premium rate telephone lines i program, and they are very nasty if you don't stick to the rules.

So next time you get a text that doesn't have call cost per minute on the telephone number you have to ring or the minimum time you are on the sms - go to here and report em
