It's astounding how far reaching some of this stuff is too. Not the same, but similar: how many people read their horoscopes in the paper? I can't believe that some people really think their date of birth and the alignment of the planets and stuff has any impact on their day to day lives. They're so blatently written so that they can be interpreted by anyone. It's a load of carp yet THEY'RE IN MOST NEWSPAPERS.

Pretty much most mediums are frauds, but there are a few which, through techniques none of us could ever do, can get certain clues and ideas. It's not magic, just a very complex skill and if that isn't impressive then I don't know what is.

Stoo, there are some simple physcological traits that lend people to believe stupid things.

The classic is correlating one event with another, people are happy to dismiss 100 previous failure trails, because after they did A, B happened.

People don't properly have the logic in their mind to associate the two.

If you start with the hypothesis that parranormal activities don't exist, its a lot easier to come up with other possibilities. But whilst people are completely ignoring ocam's razor to assume that if someone could detect spirts, and dead people the main thing they would want to talk about is the useless stuff that makes it onto TV and booths in circus.

I have a couple of friends that are 'Mediums' and i know that some are complete frauds while others are gifted beyond scientific reason.

It is easy for someone like stewart to come on here and totally have a go at anyone who has a different belief than himself. To always make a joke out of other beliefs.

I have had a few 'readings' myself in the past and i never said a word in the meetings but what was said to me was totally mind blowing. Facts that nobody could know.
