I need a new conmputer but who should i use!!! help me please!

Hi guys im new to these forums so lets get all the hellos out of the way .....hi! ok here goes i have £600 to spend on a new PC which i wanna use for gaming but i dont want a Dell or packard bell or any crap like that i want a custom built bad boy!! Ive been looking online and ive seen a couple of companies that have caught my eye now at this point i need to tell you that im like a kid because as soon as i see something colourful or shiny thats it i dont wanna know about anything else. So back to my question i have looked around quite a lot and narrowed it down to 3 companies and i need to know what people think.....

Again nice and colourful site with loads of options and the prices seem to be good. When i rang them they talked me through a few pc systems and all seems good so far.

guess!!! yep loads of colour! plus loads of awards it would seem but i wasn’t happy about the hidden delivery charge at the end ( I HATE THAT!!) but the range of systems seems good.

I need to know what people think about these 3 please i will get one from one of them just not sure which one. I wanna play the latest games and i dont wanna be having to upgrade next year because ive got a bag of crap.

I've never heard of any of them!

Personally I'd build yourself or get somebody you know to build for you

£600 will get you a very good specced machine that will last a long time.

Most companies charge around £100 on top of component prices for build, warranty and cable tidying etc, shouldn't be that much at all.

Ask on the SCAN.Care forum section. They have a dedicated 3XS sub-forum there specifically for discussing such topics.

Beyond that, your £600 will probably best be served home building than pay someone else to do it for you.

soooooooooo your saying the 3 ive listed are no good?? i dont wanna do it myself i want a warranty and no way am i ever using scan again what a load of crap they are!!

I don't think anyone said that the three you listed were no good, just that no-one's heard of them. You'll find that Scan are rated very popular and rated highly on this forum, it might be worth giving them a second chance.

You get a warranty if you self build, a warranty on the components themselves, usually 3 years

hmm lets see faulty goods and poor phone service in the past i like to be able to have a conversation on the phone but all i got was snotty one word answers and i didnt like it to be honest now i have spoke to a few companies is this area and scan were by far the worst (maybe things have changed) but i wont chance it thanks. When i say i want warranty i mean should anything go wrong then they take it away and fix it then return it as im no expert on PCs i just wanna play games!

Then the best piece of advice I can give, if all you want to do is play games, is buy an Xbox360 and a PS3 with your £600

IMO you're not doing yourself any favours by refusing to consider building it yourself, you'll get better hardware that's more tailored to your use for less money.

If you do want to consider building it yourself, here at Hexus we've got tons of people who are happy to help you through the process, really, it's not that hard

Before I was interested in building my own, I used PcSpecialist.co.uk, and they were decent but if I'm being honest I could have gotten a lot more for my money

oh dear ive moved house since then scan man ill just leave that great impression you guys gave me in the back of my mind and ill just know better in the future. Thanks anyway. As for me only wanting to play games i wanna play games on the PC yes PC not xbox360 or PS3. Hence the reason i want help buying a PC! I hear pcspecialist are ok aswell they are a lot like arbico and thepcogroup they all seem to use system builders which is NICEEEEEE!

nowt wrong with Dell tbh.

I'd consider a quick Dell for £500 and then whack a nice £100 grpahics card in it
