I'll listen to John Peel on Radio 1 and some of the XFM stuff is good. The vast, vast majority of radio is rubbish IMO though. The same middle-of-the-road playlisted pop, repeated over and over and over again.

No wonder people download mp3s to find out about new bands.

Radio 1 or 2, which ever is best at the time, would happily move back in with my folks again though (if they had the room) just so I could listen to magic..

Used to listen to Radio 1 in the AM until "I'm almost a Yorkshire Chris (Ginger Whinger) Evans" Moyles started. "I'm the STAR - YOU are my sychophantic employees - though we pretend to be friends".
Radio 1, where middle-aged "yoof experts" with pony-tails rule
Radio 1, where the music comes second to DJ's purile egotism
Radio 1, where the playlist is narrower than Moyles mind
Radio 1, where the no (daytime) DJ has bought a CD in 10 years
No wonder bloody Radio 2's got a bigger audience now.
Mark and Lard are ok in the afternoon, though not for music of course (Radio 1 playlist = crap)
But, as they are going soon some truth is being said
"That went down almost as fast as the Breakfast ratings since Moyles took over..." etc.
    lol

I am afraid its Radio 4 for me. I like the comedy programs. After all it was home to shows such as Just a Minute etc. Other than that I usually listen to obscure internet radio stations fomr differnet countries. At the moment I am listening to a Jazz station in San Fransico.
