    Re: lol @ Car Insurance....

Sports Pack was an optional extra on the car when it was new, you need to declare it on insurance quotes though... not that it actually does anything, just a bodykit and a differant exhaust (not performance)

Annoying I'm doing a similar job still, just through my own company... Do'h.

    Edit @ GoNz0

Yeah, knowing my luck in the event of an accident they wouldn't pay out though... sneaky bloody insurance companys!

And yeah, I wasn't really moaning about the actual amount, just the huge increase for 3 tiny changes (2 of which should have benefitted the cost anyway!)

    328? Nice =)

    Ooooh,

Good thought Gonzo, I didn't consider that... car isn't really worth anything now, it would just be an immediate write off in the event of an accident anyway.

Shall take a look at 3rd party, thanks

You git mmh! I live in a dodgy area too though which doesnt help; in the past 3 years we've had 3 car break-ins and 2 acts of vandalism

I aint had anything happen to me (touch wood) since i started drivin... so no marks on my insurance or anything, just 2 years no claims, although i'd imagine our post code comes up quite dodgy though, as its next to a pretty bad area :/

i didnt consider £6k cheap when i bought it took me a long time to save for it although i paid for it outright no finance for me

and as for service and repairs, its just a car, most servicing and repairing is easy as on any other car... and odb2 readers come in handy for the other stuff... parts is the main cost but suprisingly not too bad compared to my last car.

    Re: lol @ Car Insurance....

you are bloody old though funky

it is the fault of company insurance its nice to have it when you do, cause its free and everything. but when you step out of it they get you. driving 3 years but no ncb some insurers did take pity when mentioning the previous driving, but that only got to where i am now, it could have been worse.

oh well, 25 soon and first ncb not too far away

    Re: lol @ Car Insurance....

face it, any sporty car with flash wheels and skirts will cost a guy ur age a packet, amuze yourself and get quotes on other cars, try a 320-325-328 and see if its a close price match, it may help you make your mind up on your next purchase lol

yeh the 328 is a cracking car, factory sports kit and started life as a janspeed directors wheels with there best exhaust strapped to it..

thats in the garage now though as it split (been welded now tho) and has a german remus in its place to tone it down to a quiet rumble
