I reckon a lot of them qualify. Most of the youtube videos spread around like wildfire after they were put off. All your base is definitely a meme, as is rick rolling. And whilst i'm not that fond of the word itself, it was around before the internet , it's derived from the Greek "mimema" and was made in 1976 by Richard Dawkins.

But yeah, not necessarily in the "I Liek Mudkips" sense..

Perhaps "Internet Phenomena" is more appropriate for the pedants among us?
