What to get work mate, please help!?

Hey folks,

Just wanted some ideas really...Here's the situation: My work colleague has recently found me a job and happens to know the boss of this new job. He's been helping me with the interview questions and also when the contract came through he even spoke to the boss to sort a few issues out. In a word "legend"; and I would still be stuck jobless now if it were'nt for him.

I can't think of a single way to repay him enough so I am struggling for ideas. I thought of a meal for him and his wife, but I don't know him very very well, plus I'm quite shy so may be a flop and I may start talking about computer games and I'm not short that's his type of thing.

I know he drinks, but have no clue what's his favourite or what he does not like, and feel a bit obvious asking him. I could get him something like that but I don't feel its enough.

Anyone think of any other suggestions please? Thanks very much!!

Its the thought the counts i spose i generally find that in the past if a collegue buys me soemthing bar of choclate, several beers or whatever that im usually well chuffed. Mayeb game for his xbox or something?

Take him to the nearest (.)(.) bar and pay for the 'works'.

That will show your gratitude and unless he is a bit iffy, he will LOVE it!

(Also, the way i am sure he wants to be repaid is for you to be VERY good at the new job and therefore reflect him in a good way)
