    Headphones/EarPhones

Ok plugged my headphones in yest
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Lab...0634540&sr=1-1

and realised the left channel is very quiet so probably dead earphones....

Anyone got any recommendations for good ipod headphones or earphones pref cheap (20 or under for earphones or 30 or under for headphones)

Dont want them to be expensive as they all seem to break easily.

    Thanks.

Do you want isolating or non-isolating earphones?

    Re: Headphones/EarPhones

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-E...1881453&sr=1-1 £18

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-H...1881453&sr=1-5 £12

If you want some decent quality cheap phones.

    Moving up a bit..

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-H...V2WPYJWMXC90KA £28

Do not be fooled into buying the cheapest though. A decent set costing £50 will last longer than a few sets of naff ones.

    If you can stretch:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-H...881606&sr=1-55 (open back)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-H...QWYK4KTXS72SNR (closed back - some people prefer the extra isolation)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shure-Se210-...1881648&sr=1-1

Both around £65. They're absolutely awesome (Shure make some of the best buds and Sennheiser make some of the best cans) and will last you years. I've got a pair of shures that are 3 years old, and were even replaced out of warranty by Shure customer services. Yeah, they're about double your budget, but they will probably last twice as long and are more than worth it. You'll note that a search for earphones on Amazon shows that most of the phones under £20 besides those made by sennheiser are all rated 2, 3 stars - to demonstrate my point!

They are OK, I wouldnt say great.

They seem to be lacking in the bass department. Feels like a very hollow bass.

Edit: Im actually looking to get some AKG K701, but cant find them anywhere for under 200.

I'd recommend the cx300's (from experience) if you don't want to go above £20.

The PX100's are worth a look too if you don't want in ear ones.

    Re: Headphones/EarPhones

My wife has a pair of HD515s - while the sound is of your typical mid-range Sennheiser quality, I found them to be really uncomfortable and they felt a lot more plasticky and cheap than others in the same price range.

Saying that, I love Sennheisers and currently wear a pair of HD600s. I was pointed in the direction of a pair of 570s by Zak33 from this very forum many moons ago and I haven't turned away from the velour goodness ever since.

After about 2/3 years of faithful service, my CX300s died on Friday - same left ear death problem...

I think its a common problem. I also got the Creative ones. They sound the same as the seinn's and die the same way too. Left ear of death

In the long run it would be better to get a more expensive pair now than a new pair every two months.
