    iphone charging...

I'm taking my laptop with me on holiday... but my iphone is synced to my desktop...

if i take the usb cable...will it still charge from my laptop, even though its not sync'd.... surely the usb port will provide the power regardless... just wondered if apple did something stupid, like my nokia n95 did...

I'd test but i dont have it here with me...

    Thanks

Why not take the usb cable and when you get there a plug to USB adapter (or a UK plug to USB adapter and a converter socket)?

I think it should work, I charge my ipod over a few computers but dont sync them

Why not try it before you go for yourself when you can?

    Re: iphone charging...

    yeah, probably a good point...

I just know im going to forget something, and if i can make some stuff like this clear before i go, without having to check (working right up until i go) it would help...

I've still got to pack and get ready... and my laptop doesnt have half the software i need to take with me due to being new...

I've got my work cut out

    Re: iphone charging...

I save myself hassle now when I go to visit my family/girlfriend, take a USB cable for my phone, ipod and DS/PSP and a mains to USB adapter, saves the hassle and if I dont have a spare plug I can use my laptop or my car
