Ive been given a second hand one, which is great , but it has some engraving on it that i would say is .25 - .5 mm deep.
Is it possible to get that filled and then polished to remove it?
Also how can you tell if they're real?

The fakes nowadays are so good there is only one way to tell if its truely real, take it to a pen shop, either a The Pen Shop or a John Lewis will do, they should be able to check seeing as they are service centers for Mont Blanc's
As for getting it filled, that will tie in with its authenticity, if its real, that maybe a mark that it is real. Worth checking what exactly it is first before thinking of filling in the engravings.
Please do not message me about Scan Free shipping, I no longer work for HEXUS.net
Mont Blanc pens are great!!! Got a few of them, and I just love the weight and feel of them.
I guess its all down to the finishing of your MB pen. If its like a brushed metal, I guess its possible. But its like a marble finish, you're looking at doing a lot of damage to it. Try House of Frazers and jewellers like Goldsmith.
Ok thanks, its the classic black mont blanc so should be easy enough to get sorted.
Not that it matters, but it does feel weighty enough and looks a good enough build quality to be an original. (although who am i to know!)
Ill take it along to John Lewis i think over the weekend
