I would have been pretty upset about this 20 years ago, but Disney has shown an ability to step out of the kiddy cartoon mould and produces some decent films, so perhaps this is a good thing.
With Disney cash and expertise the Marvel stable will probably stand a better chance of being done well than when they were sold off to the highest bidder. The downside is that less popular characters will never see the outside of a Disney vault again, but they may never have done so anyway.

Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet intakes.

I'd love to know why they'd bother, the Marvel IP's aren't a guarenteed money spinner by any manner or means.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
Presumably to open up new markets for them. I've noticed Disney trying to push new channels for children/teenagers who are older than their traditional core audience and a clutch of Marvel superheros, particularly with their current movie cachet, would be an ideal way of doing that.
I love Disney animated films in HD. Really stunning.
I hope Pixar get involed. That would be mind blowing.

Well, this is definitely something to marvel at.
What i was thinking though is about all the rides at Universal in Florida that are themed around Marvel films. Like spiderman.
I can't believe disney are going to let a big competiter in the theme park trade have rides for which they have rights for. (Although i hasen to add that's there's probaly some contract concerning those)
