Put it another way - would you want someone with that kind of attitude working for a company you own?

I picked up the 1st Gen iPhone for £169 without being tied down to a contract I didn't already have/needed.
That said, I have no sympathy if the guy lost his job. If I was an employer, I'd expect more than that from my employee, and if I was the client, I would also look for an alternative.
Does that even matter? Yeah, if it happened to someone else, they may not know who to complain to. It still doesn't mean that the behaviour is acceptable, and to some extent, I am glad that he may at least get a well deserved slap on his wrist because he happened to pick on a client. Maybe he'll think twice next time.

Sounds like you did the right thing to me. There are such things as common courtesy and also professionalism, in whatever your career. He managed to show none of them! I mean you stopped in the road for him and he swears at you? Just plain rude.
Now I'm off to find my cardi and pipe.
Not around too often!
forgive me but aren't we supposed to stop at a pedestrian crossing look both ways WAIT until all traffic stops then proceed to cross? It seems to me that you started to cross then noticed him coming or maybe I'm reading it wrong if so i apologies. I think the cyclist needs a good bollocking but not the sack.

Like I said, there are two sides to every story, I don’t find it likely for someone to lash out and say what he said if you did nothing wrong.
I have vented my anger a few times on people who deserved nothing less, mainly drivers who would have caused an accident.
Ok i stand corrected but i think pedestrians should wait until the traffic stops then proceed to cross not just walk out then look. Equally i think road users should be on the ball when approaching pedestrian crossings.
[QUOTE=TheAnimus;1770898]Coffee for 2 in hand, I’m crossing the road, on a pedestrian crossing,QUOTE]
There are currently five types of formal pedestrian crossings used in the United Kingdom, these being Zebra, Pelican, Puffin, Toucan and Pegasus crossings. Sorry my bad Animus you didn't mention which particular crossing it was.
sorry but it was the assumption that I hadn't yeilded a right of way. Thats what really got me, the fact he was breaking the law, and had the audacity to be rude to me.

It can't be a coincidence
Your absolutley right to be annoyed with this cock knocker by jumping the red light he put you and other road users in danger, My guess is this guys a law unto himself and its only a matter of time before you see him under a bus. Thankfully you noticed him in time and avoided what could have been a very nasty accident. So i must to your cat like reactions
By any chance are you in London? I've found that cyclists and moped riders in London to be the rudest, most inconsiderate people ever.
Example: I was crossing the Strand, red light for traffic, cars gridlocked for several yards down. All of a sudden, this cyclist who was filtering through the traffic (at high speed) slams on his brakes, almost knocking into me. Swears at me for being in the way, I shout back even louder about him trying to jump a red light. Several nearby people turn to see, he suddenly falls silent. Just as well
