OK, first up I'm not *promising* to host this, but:
The wifey has given me the all clear to run / host a Hexus house / LAN party I envisage it basically involving chilling out, listening to music, playing some old school LAN games, eating food and drinking beer (or wine, or cider, depending on your preference ). it could also potentially involve a trip into Manchester to shop / eat / drink, if anyone's mad enough to brave Manchester City Centre in the run up to Christmas (or during the January Sales, depending on date: see below)!
Date-wise, I'd be looking at either 11th - 13th December, or a weekend in January (dates to be confirmed later). Games-wise, I'd definitely want to run a Diablo II server, and if enough people are interested and have their own copies I could also be persuaded that NeverWinter Nights was a good idea (if we can find some suitable short multi-player-friendly modules ). Otherwise I'm open to suggestions, but probably don't own the games in question, so we'd need to sort a way around that. We're also board / card gamers so gaming without computers would be an option for some.
As long as people are happy with crash space I reckon we can accommodate about 8 - 10 people in the house: obviously anyone who wants to find their own accommodation in Manchester is more than welcome to turn up as and when they feel like it.
So, any takers, any preferred dates, any other suggestions, etc - rabbit away
