    Courier Rant!

I ordered a courier on Parcel2go... I tried to select the "ill drop it off at the depot" but the website fubared up.. and ended up selecting the pick up....

So I come out of work at 5pm and head to the courier depot... Phoned my mam from the car (hands free of course) and she said a courier had tried to collect a parcel today as their was a card through the door. Got to the courier depot.. asked the bloke... he said "nope... you cant drop it off."

I asked why.... . he said "The office staff have gone home and we've got no paper work"

bloody stupid sod... I explained that i work 9 till 5 and am not in during the day to allow a courier to collect it from my house, so he said "come back tomorrow when the office staff are here"

So i asked him what time do the office staff go home. "5PM".

By this time i wanted to rip his face off... ended up swearing and walking out... saying oh well i'll arrange another wasted trip for your van guys.

    TOSSPOTS!!!!!

No offence, but they havent done anything wrong... The guy at the depot would more than likely not want to break company policy and risk the loss / damage / theft of your parcel.... as he does not know what is in it. It could be ANYTHING.

Was thinking the same myself AEON

I work shifts between 7am and 10pm cause of ppl not happy that places shut at 5pm so they cant do personal business when they get home.... Its the same with Christmas and New Year.

"Normal" workers would go crazy if they had to work non-normal hours and would scream from the rooftops if they had to work Christmas and New Year YET they EXPECT places like where I work to be open and to be serving them, and god forbid if they have to wait a little longer on these days....

Why does anyone EXPECT others to work hours they do not want to.

Note - I used the word "EXPECT".

Count yourself lucky couriers can even find you place, they cant find mind despite me putting a massive hint THE CHURCH! on everything they still seem to be completly inept. In fact when I spoke to one of the drivers he told me there wasnt a church on my road . ITS 200meters long and the biggest building on the road for god sake !!!!
he then went on to say that the parcel wasnt address correctly which I have photographic evidence to disprove.

Don't get me wrong some couriers are bad but at the end of the day you've got to be realistic in what you can expect them to do.
