Wow, some washed-up dude from a band sat down, took a bunch of drugs and asked jesus to appear in front of him. And they've also got two other people who've recorded testimonials; an american idol finalist and a rather plain college student with self-described daddy issues.

How any atheist or secularist could stand up to a fearsome intellectual assault like that is beyond me.

Funded by one of the cogs in the American religious right propaganda monstrosity, wonder just how much money they pocketed from the slimy lobbyists?

hehehe. you sooooooooooo miss the point. man talks about his life was turned around, how he's now filled with peace, joy and contentment, is now a good father to his child, is off drugs for good, and all you can do is react with a knee jerk

let's hope you never find yourselves in his position, eh? no, wait, you're not going to be rock stars with millions of dollars, mansions, mega cars, thousands of adoring fans etc, so you can probably sleep easy.

No, you miss the point. Again.

People get off drugs all the time with help from numerous charities, the NHS, various therapies.....whatever, the reasons are many - Yet these have nothing to do with god. As soon as someone mentions your particular god, it becomes 'evidence'?

Fuddam, just stop and look at this for a second and think what you're doing. You're trying to use a man, which admits he has been off his face on class A drugs for a long period of time, admits to having MENTAL ISSUES IN THE VIDEO YOU LINK, and this is somehow backing up your point of view on Jesus?

Come on mate, I've seen you do way better. You're just slacking now

I don't mind him being happy as long as he doesn't try and use it to convince me to live in the same delusional state of mind as him

    hehe

the reason I posted it was NOT to offer proof of Christ's existence. It was so that other peeps who find themselves weary (as he said) know that they do not have to go through life like that. Christ is here to offer healing and peace, and it's only going to be accepted by those who truly want it.

I take great joy in knowing that I have a brother in Brian, and I look forward to seeing his grin face to face one day, here, there or in the air.

I also heard that another member of Korn has followed suit, though chosen to stay in the band. Hallelujah.

I actually found the site www.iamsecond.com after seeing the vid of Stephen Baldwin giving his testimony. Awesome.
Is cool that the whole site is people humbly giving thanks for their love, joy and peace in Christ, and that from peeps who have been in the full glare of the media spotlight (i.e. adulation, ego, self-worship etc).

Navel gazing holds no answers, yet that is where most people put their trust. Sadly.

Those that find themselves weary and in need of support need to look to their family, the people around them, the people they so often ignore because of the shame brought about by drug addiction. That some people find faith in God/Christ is fantastic, good for them if it helps get their life back on track but it speaks more to a psychological predisposition towards religion than the healing power of Christ in my opinion.

Re: Brian "Head" Welch, former guitarist for Korn, says his thing

None of this matters since korn is a terrible band.

Seriously though, I see people using God to help them through hard times in the same way I see people going to their friends for comfort, going to therapy, support groups, etc. It doesn't matter what anyone else believes - if it works for you keep doing it.

I find it hilarious that he actually believes a religion experience he had after snorting a line of crystal meth. This kind of stuff just makes it harder for me to put up with born again Christians (they always seem the most ridiculous).
