PlayTrade on play.com is a similar service
Pop in the ISBN and description/price they take a 10% cut then you can use your money for stuff sold to buy things on the site
Include your cost of postage in the price you charge though

Good thread topic,
I was thinking of putting up some of my stuff on eBay recently and was really put off by the inability to set my own postage charge. Don't get me wrong, I have only sold a handful of things on there over the past few years and I have never charged anything more than what the postage actually costs but this whole things has left a sour taste in my mouth.
This new method is a real pain as I normally only send out stuff either via 1st or 2nd class Recorded delivery to cover my back if it goes missing or the buyer decides "it hasn't turned up". This normally costs around £1.75 and I have found that I have had to put my start price at this or I find myself with a loss (unless the item takes off... which they don't).
It is equally annoying when you are trying to sell books / magazines. I had a chap last week who wanted some of my old magazine issues that I was selling for £0.20 each (not that old you see), the bloke wanted 10 of these mags, making the total £2. The weight of them though pushed the postage to around £7 for Standard Parcels Delivery.
Needless to say he wasn't impressed, I suggested using a carrier pigeon or even a catapult but that didn't wash. I even suggested "swapping" the costs, so that the mags cost £7 and the postage was £2!
No luck though, I reckon I'll have to move my stuff for sale over to Amazon like others have mentioned here.
All the best,
Harv
