2010 : The HEXUS Readership Aims and Resolutions

Following on from OiD's posts.

What are your Aims for 2010? What would you like to achieve? What are you going to try to make better?


Here are mine:
Aims
1. Pay off as much of my Debt as I can - Living on Credit in a recession has taken it's toll.
2. Do as many Meets and LAN's as I can.
3. Catch up with friends and family as much as possible.

Resolutions
1. Stick to my budget plans.
2. Do some more exercise and therefore lose some weight before Sisters' wedding in July.
3. Live life to the full and stop worrying.

Here are mine:
Aims
1. Record an album with my band, get it pressed and tour extensively to promote it...
2. Get a girlfriend, I've been single far too long
3. Travel somewhere i havent been before!

Resolutions
1. Exercise more - walk to/from work as much as possible, generally be more active
2. See my friends more
3. spend less time playing call of duty!!

Aims:

1) Really stick in with my A-Levels and get the grades i know I'm capable of.
2) Get to at least one LAN
3) Start rock climbing again.

Resolutions:

1) Eat MUCH healthier.
2) Stop wasting money on stuff I don't need at all.
3) Stop drinking 3 or 4 cans of Relentless every day.
4) Be a nicer person

Aims:
1) Finish my PhD
2) Get a job
3) Move back in with the GF
4) Scally Rally - Arctic!!!

Resolutions:
1) Get back to the gym and get my weight bellow 100KG
2) Get back into a rowing boat and bring erg times down to bellow 6.30 again!

Aims:
1) Get a new job when I finally lose mine (looks like feb/mar time).....or become a pro-poker player while looking
2) Move back home to Plymouth and spend more time around family and friends (unlucky them!)
3) Learn something completely and utterly different to anything I have done previously

Resolution:
1) Spend less money on PC hardware (considering how much I have spent in the last 5 years, this should be my easiest resolution by a mile!)
2) Be a more patient and approachable person
3) Cut down on the smokes a bit.......I was going to say "quit".....but you have to be realistic

aims for 2010
enjoy the little things!

cut back on the smoking...hey it's my only vice now seeing as I'm teetotal

Get out more now the little 'un is a bit older and catch up on some raving.

Chill out more. I'm starting to chill more, in fact some people have commented on how laid back I am at the moment seeing as I'm moving home and doing loads of decorating till 3-4 am and then working.

Resolutions
Not making any, that way I'll not break them and feel guilty

Aims

1. Find a new job, not even neccessarily one that I love (although it'd be nice), one that doesn't make me want to die in a morning rather than go in to work will do.
2. Pay off some debt with the job in question.
3. Maybe start getting things together so I can move out.

Resolutions

1. See the people that matter more.
2. Lose a little more weight if I can.
3. Play guitar/bass more often.

Aims
1. Get my flat sorted.
2. Move in to said flat.
3. Try not to bankrupt myself doing 1 and 2.

Resolutions
1. Lose a bit of weight.
2. See if I can advance my career a bit.
3. Meet someone nice I can be happy with - pretty much down to luck that one

Aims
1. Find a nice place to live, buy, and move in *absolutely must find time for this*
2. Keep up the fitness routine
3. Sort out work/life balance, take a holiday

Resolutions
1. Be more patient and approachable (yes i stole it)
2. Try a new recreation activity
3. Go and see some of my old favourite bands play live in concert, i never do this anymore!!

Amazing how similar many of our aims and resolutions are..

Thought I would bump this and see how successful people were? Going by my results, I don't think I'll bother this year...

Quite simple ones this year.

1 - Ride to work and back each day instead of taking the car (20 mile round trip).
2 - Loose a stone and keep it off for my wedding in 2012.
