To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
The flashback is pretty interesting.. Lot's of names that I haven't seen around for a while. But let's change the question for a moment. What things have you done that you'd recommend everyone to do before they die?
Drive a Muscle Car.
Eat at a pit BBQ somewhere in the backwoods of the Southern US.
Go to a Rodeo.
I'm allowed to be miserable as long as my love life continues to be an all you can eat buffet of disappointment Zak and that's an end of it!
Things I've done that I'd recommend people do before they die... hmm...
Take something with locking diffs and a low range box off roading (or four wheelin' if you're from the colonies)
Fell a tree with more than fifteen tons of timber on it in one drop and feel the earth quite literally move beneath your feet
Park up at the end of a runway, lie on your bonnet with someone and re-enact Waynes World
That reminds me of the old (prehistoric) joke about the bloke that does a genie a favour and for his one wish, asks for a road bridge from California to Hawaii. If there's still anyone that doesn't know it (and wants to) nudge me. It's good .... but old. Very old.
So .... how's it working out for you? The wish that is, not the bridge.
You could just do that
My first thought was win the euro millions tonight (I didn't) and this is because it was fresh in my mind and I really wanted to win.
My 2nd thought was to be with my bet friend and buy her a Ferrari F430 in light blue, with the Euro Millions winnings. (she really likes a specific light blue)
I'm officially middle aged so the concept of a bucket list is more than an abstract reality. The big gotcha has been that some of the stuff I started as a got-to-try-that have stuck and become part of my day to day life. 'Learn classical guitar' means a lot of time every-single day, never mind the lessons. Tried windsurfing - quite like it and will do again. Paleo - tried it as a 30 day challenge and it has stuck. Great thing about trying stuff rather than just watching the TV is it can really change your life.
Proper couple of weeks riding in either the Northern states (Minnesota lakes?) or Rockies? Realities of the state of my back and shoulder might make that one too much of a stretch, literally. Might have to opt for the less hardcore version of hire an RV with a bike trailer and do some drive, some ride.
