I've been thinking about this for a while and thought I'd put it out there...
How about a family-friendly weekend somewhere (Camping/Holiday park - for those with littleys) for a bit of a get-together?
I will try and find somewhere with lots of options and things to do (Walks/Geocaching, Places to visit etc)
I'm thinking of either a weekend in the summer or possibly May bank holiday...
I'm just throwing this out there as a possibility...

When you said getaway I thought of car chases down alleys filled with boxes and narrow escapes.
Camping is good too though.

Might be up for this, depends when, where, what and how much, obviously!But I'm certainly in favour of the general concept!
Not quite centre parcs as they're a bit expensive (although out of season they're not a bad price) but park lodge (static caravans) with a tenting area for those brave enough...

I'd vote for something like Warsaw instead, cheaper to get to, even cheaper to stay in, plus good beer.

Flying isn't family friendly on the pocket - especially with all the new littleys we have. Warsaw would be a good growed up getaway agreed.
We could fit em in the checked allowance? Put dave in there to keep em company.
I guess, last time I went I paid £38inc taxes return. But I think our labour government has decided that prolites shouldn't be able to afford to fly.

Times that by 3... is already £100... and bubbas need a passport... which is what we're trying to avoid...
99Fl - good good... it's being organised with hexites like you in mind (as my littlen-by-proxy is old enough to enjoy tenting)
