Crystal Maze to return?

Apparently this could be making a comeback.

Now let me explain. I love The Crystal Maze so much that, as a kid, my grandma used to record it and I'd watch it each week at her and my grandad's house. I was so excited about it that in a fit of glee I wrote "CRYTATAL MAZE" on the VHS label. I was about 10, but still...

So this all sounds great, until you read the story:

The new show will have a similar format to the '90s classic but feature Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden as host, according to The Sun.

It is also thought that celebrity contestants will tackle the difficult puzzles and physical challenges rather than members of the public.

To quote somebody on another forum:

Yeah, I think the production company missed the fact that many of us watched it for the humour of the host! I'm sure other people could host it, but they'll need a bit more flare than that bimbo

Crystal Maze was brilliant with ROB. Love the way he did it. Amanda Holden WONT be the same if it goes ahead. Choice of presenter fail.

I was a big fan of Crystal Maze, but it just wasn' the same after Richard O'Brien was gone from it, so I'm not so sure that they'd be able to pull this off to my liking.

Dont see why ROB can't do it again, not like he has aged that much in looks. No one as eccentric as him! Needs to be a bloke (at risk of sounding sexist) though IMO. Jonathan Ross?
